Amazon B1G1 50% Off Game Sale Includes New Releases For Switch, PS5, And Xbox

Amazon is currently running an impressive buy one, get one 50% off sale for hundreds of video games. The catalog encompasses PS5, Xbox, and Switch–so regardless of your preferred platform, you should have no problem finding a game or two that catches your eye. After adding two eligible games to your cart, the one with the lower price will automatically see a 50% discount. That means purchasing two games of similar price is the best way to make use of the event. For instance, you’ll save $35 on two $70 new releases.

A little bit of everything is included in Amazon’s event, covering both new releases like Metaphor: ReFantazio and Space Marine 2 alongside older hits like Outer Wilds. A bunch of remastered and collections are also up for grabs, our favorite being Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. Amazon’s B1G1 50% off promotion features a lot of the same games as Best Buy’s now expired promotion that ran over the weekend, but there’s one key difference: Amazon’s discount is calculated using the current price, while Best Buy factored the discount based on MSRP. So, depending on what you pick, Amazon’s sale is better.

Note: If you don’t see the B1G1 50% off deal on one of the games listed below, click “other sellers on Amazon” and choose the option that is shipped and sold by Amazon. If resellers are offering slightly lower prices, they can take the default spot on a product’s store page. But the B1G1 50% off promotion is only available for games that are shipped and sold by Amazon. Come from South African Online Casinos

Slitterhead Gets November Release Date And Action-Packed Trailer

Silent Hill creator Keiichirō Toyoma and Bokeh Game Studio’s debut horror game, Slitterhead, will launch on November 8 for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The studio announced the release date at this year’s Summer Game Fest in an action-packed trailer focused on the game’s combat. The trailer shows an interesting mix of concepts. It’s set in Japan with supernatural creatures, reminiscent of Ghostwire: Tokyo. However, instead of first-person, Slitterhead is in third-person. You can also possess what seem to be NPCs to fight against supernatural creatures in a similar manner to the Dishonored games.

It appears to play like a third-person action-adventure game where you can swap between different characters on the fly while in combat, similar to the Final Fantasy VII Remake games. There’s also a variety of different physical and magical tools at your disposal, including claws, rifles, and even gatling guns.

Slitterhead was first announced back in 2021 …

Call Of Duty- Warzone Confirmed For Mobile

Mobile gaming is about to drop into a heated war zone, as a new blog post on the official Call of Duty website has confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone is coming to mobile.

The post is light on information about the mobile version itself, calling it a “large-scale, battle royale experience is being built natively for mobile with cutting-edge technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come.” Roles requested in the blog include production, art, engineering, design, and more.

The confirmation comes after a report from December 2021 hinted at a 2022 release date for Call of Duty Warzone’s mobile version. Game journalist and Call of Duty insider Tom Henderson tweeted that the game was anticipated for launch this year, citing its addition to the PlaytestCloud database.

Warzone will mark the second Call of Duty battle royale on mobile devices, joining the mode built into the standalone Call of Duty Mobile. Ther…

Acer’s Expensive New Predator Helios 300 Laptop Supports Glasses-Free 3D Content

3D gaming could be making a comeback, as Acer’s new Predator Helios 300 will ship with a display that supports glasses-free stereoscopic 3D content. The 15.6-inch gaming laptop will support “over 50 popular games at launch” and expects to grow that library in time.

As for how the technology works, the SpatialLabs system places two images on the screen and uses eye-tracking sensors built into the top bezel of the laptop to refract one image towards your left eye and one towards your right. Your brain will then combine both images into a single one, that you’ll perceive as being in 3D.

So far only Forza Horizon 5 has been confirmed to make use of the SpatialLabs TrueGame software for achieving a 3D look, but there’s more than enough grunt under the hood of the device to play games in regular 2D.

The display itself is where all the 3D magic happens, as the 4K panel has what Acer calls a “liquid crystal lenticular lens” optically bonded on top of it so that three-dimen…

HBO's The Last Of Us Series Has 10 Episodes In Season 1

Filming on HBO’s The Last of Us TV series is currently underway in Canada, and now a few more details about the project have come to light from writer Craig Mazin. He revealed this on a Scriptnotes podcast, also confirming that season 1 has five different directors.

Mazin–who previously worked with HBO on the acclaimed Chernobyl mini-series–said the writing for the first three-to-four episodes is “kinda done” (via Collider).

The Last of Us received a straight-to-series order, which means HBO is not filming a pilot episode and is instead launching directly into the series. The same was true for Chernobyl, and Mazin acknowledged that this presents some potential issues, one being that the production team isn’t able to “retool” what they otherwise could have if it was a pilot.

HBO’s Game of Thrones famously filmed a disaster of a pilot episode that featured a different actress as Daenerys and other big changes. The Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC also re-shot its…

Kyle MacLachlan Joins Peacock Joe Exotic Series As Howard Baskin

Actor Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks, Portlandia) has joined the cast of Peacock’s upcoming Joe Exotic series, according to Variety. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

MacLachlan will star as Howard Baskin, opposite series lead Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live), who will play Carole Baskin. The NBC series was first announced last year, on the heels of the runaway popularity of Netflix’s Tiger King–which is also likely widely remembered as one of the first things people binged while in quarantine. For those who haven’t yet seen it, Howard Baskin’s character functions as an “even-keeled husband who supports her” throughout an escalating war with the titular character, who will be played by James Cameron Mitchell (Shrill, The Good Fight).

All in all, the chemistry between these three actors alone should make the show worth a watch–even among those who didn’t watch or made a point to stay away from the Netflix series. Said Susan Rovern, chairman…
